IQE analysis
LASSIEĀ is the evaluation tool for experimental internal quantum efficiencies (IQE) measured on silicon solar cells. Valuable insight into the loss mechanisms of a solar cell is possible comparing IQE and reflectance spectra with calculated spectra based on analytical models for the optics and the charge carrier transport. With a set of parameters that gives good agreement between calculation and experimental data the model can be used for simulations in order to reveal potential improvements when parameters are optimized. The model calculations also allow to attribute loss currents to the individual regions and loss mechanisms in the solar cell.
